Cholera Outbreak in London, 1854- A John Snow Map's Enhanced Perspective
History: The rapid growth in industrialization and the increase in population, lack of proper sanitation in the city of London lead to the most renowned Cholera epidemic in the history. John Snow, A famous physician was worried about this epidemic and decided to find out its root cause, thus creating the famous Soho Map.
This visualization project is an attempt to recreate his efforts by drawing the map using D3 JS which helps us in drawing more conlcusions from the case study. The pumps are marked in red whereas the locations of deaths are marked in blue and pink for male and female respectively. Some surrounding street names are along mentioned and the location of the Work House and the Brewery along the Broad Street.
